POWERPOP RESCUED FROM THE MISTS OF TIME!
Power-pop combo The Favourites arose from the ashes of the much revered Nottingham band Plummet Airlines in late 1977.
Darryl, Duncan and Keith of The Plummets hooked up with Tony and Kevin from young local band The GTs to fulfill outstanding Plummets’ gigs, before striking out on their own path to musical enlightenment.
That was back in 1978. The band lasted two years, playing many fine concerts and producing two well received singles, S.O.S and Angelica, on 4-Play Records. They also managed to record a number of un-released tracks that now appear legitimately for the first time on this vinyl-only release, which comes with a free CD of the album, and limited copies will come with a prized original copy of 2nd single Angelica, straight from the last couple of boxes pressed in 1978! Ignore the bootlegs, this is the real thing.
